Pothos (Epipremnum aureum) in a grey ceramic planter.
A compact plant with trailing vines, complemented by a transparent plastic circular support that neatly holds the stems and helps maintain the shape. The classic pebbled ceramic planter comes in a modern grey tone. This plant is intended for indoor use; during winter months it should be kept inside, as the planter is not frost-proof.
Pothos are hardy, low-maintenance trailing vines thriving in bright, indirect light but tolerating low light. Water when the top 1-2 inches of soil are dry (every 1-2 weeks), and use well-draining, potting soil. They thrive in temperatures of 60-85°F (15-29°C), with average household humidity.
Key Care Details:
  • Light: Prefers bright, indirect light but adapts to lower light conditions. Avoid direct, intense afternoon sun, which can burn leaves.
  • Water: Allow the soil to dry out between waterings (typically every 1-2 weeks). Yellow leaves indicate overwatering, while wilting or curling suggests it needs water.
  • Soil & Drainage: Use a well-draining, aerated potting mix (e.g., peat moss, perlite).
  • Humidity & Temp: Prefers 40-60% humidity but handles average, and temperatures between 60°F and 85°F (15-29°C).
  • Fertilizer: Use a balanced houseplant fertilizer monthly or every 2-3 months during spring and summer. No fertilizer is needed in winter.
  • Maintenance: Prune long, leggy vines to encourage a bushier plant.
  • Toxicity: Pothos is toxic to pets if ingested
